Dallara has unveiled its new Formula 3 chassis, the F312, which will be raced in the F3 Euro Series and other major F3 championships next year.
The car, which has been designed with improved driver safety and cost savings in mind, features a number of new technical features, such as the incorporation of the suspension springs and dampers inside the chassis, rather than on top of it, plus a revised aerodynamic package.
Dallara's Jos Claes, who oversaw the design and build project, said: "In motor racing, advancing is a must and doing so is virtually impossible without using new materials.
"From my point of view, there are two main reasons for purchasing a new car, now: The new chassis is safer and it offers you the opportunity to compete in international events. And I'm convinced that the new Dallara F312 also will be faster than the currently used car."
