Four-time F3 Euro Series champions ASM will be renamed to ART, the French squad have announced.
The team will now share the name with their sister outfit ART, who won the GP2 title in 2005 and 2006.
Both teams are run in some way by Frederic Vasseur, and earlier this year the two were merged for business purposes.
"To use two different names, ASM and ART, for the same company, with the same people working under the same roof did not make sense anymore," said Vasseur.
"ART and ASM have merged at the beginning of the year, it's a success and we go forward by using just one name from now on."
Nicolas Todt, who was initially involved just in the GP2 squad, added: "It is more logical to use only the one name for all our activities, which will make it possible to avoid any confusion and to give the company a stronger image."
ASM have won the Euro Series title for the past four years, with Romain Grosjean (2007), Paul di Resta (2006), Lewis Hamilton (2005), and Jamie Green (2004).
