Italian Michele Beretta will graduate to the Formula 3 European Championship this season with EuroInternational.
The 19-year-old makes the move after two seasons in Formula Abarth, culminating in taking the runner-up spot in the 2013 Italian championship.
Beretta, who is managed by international GT ace Andrea Piccini, tested with Van Amersfoort Racing in December, as well as with Motopark's German F3 Cup team.
But he has instead plumped for EuroInternational, with which he will also contest a programme of selected German F3 events in one of the team's older-spec Dallara-Mercedes.
Beretta will join Riccardo Agostini in the European F3 team, which should expand to run a third car.
This appears most likely to be for American Santino Ferrucci, who is hoping to join the series in June.
Beretta is a skiing teacher and former junior slalom competitor. His brother Carlo skis for Italy in downhill and super-G World Cup events.
