GP2 ace Stefano Coletti will make his Formula 3 return with Ma-Con in this weekend's Formula 3 European Championship round at Hockenheim, AUTOSPORT understands.
Coletti, who raced in the F3 Euro Series in 2008 and '09, has entered for this year's Macau Grand Prix, where he will drive for EuroInternational.
To qualify for Macau, the Monegasque has to compete in a prior F3 race in the same calendar year. He had been expected to drive a second entry from EuroInternational at Hockenheim this weekend.
But Coletti, who has an outside mathematical chance of the GP2 title in next month's Abu Dhabi finale, is understood to have struck a deal with German team Ma-Con for the Hockenheim event.
Ma-Con has had one Dallara-Volkswagen free since Sven Muller jumped ship to Van Amersfoort Racing last month.
Coletti will therefore join Andre Rudersdorf in the team's line-up for this weekend's European F3 season finale.
