Ferrari Formula 1 junior Charles Leclerc will complete the Formula 2 season with a special helmet design dedicated to his late father.
Leclerc's father Herve, who raced in Formula 3 in the 1980s, passed away earlier this year, just days before the Baku F2 round.
Runaway points leader Leclerc took pole position and won the feature race in Azerbaijan while wearing an adapted version of his existing design that incorporated the message "Je t'aime papa (I love you dad)".
In a message on Twitter, 19-year-old Leclerc unveiled a completely new replica of Herve's own helmet (pictured below).
"Last thing I promised you was to finish this championship with your design," he wrote.
"Here it is. #TumanquesPapa [You are missed dad]."
Leclerc has tested for Haas as well as Ferrari in F1 and is tipped to move into grand prix racing next season with Sauber.
He holds a 59-point lead in F2 over Oliver Rowland with two rounds, at Jerez and Abu Dhabi, remaining.
