Webber Reprimanded for Pizzonia Comments

Mark Webber has been reprimanded by his Williams team for comments he made to the press regarding the team's test driver and his former teammate, Antonio Pizzonia.
Webber and Pizzonia raced together for Jaguar Racing in 2003, and the Brazilian was dropped by the team after 11 races, having failed to match Webber's pace and results. But Pizzonia later said that he was mistreated by the team, claiming his Australian teammate received preferential treatment.
Now Pizzonia is a front runner for the second Williams seat, alongside Webber, and the Australian - who already denied Pizzonia's claims in the past - lashed out at the Brazilian, stating he has been "telling lies" about his time at Jaguar.
Williams read Webber's comments on Atlas F1 earlier today, and after clarifying with Webber that he was not misquoted and indeed he had said the comments attributed to him in the report, the team reprimanded Webber, making it clear he was to avoid making any similar comments again.
Atlas F1 learned that Williams were extremely unhappy with Webber's comments and the Australian has been told that whatever history he and Pizzonia shared is part of Jaguar History, not Williams's. "He was simply told to put a lid on it and move on," a source said.
Williams declined to make any comment on the matter.
