Webber calls for more doping tests
Grand Prix Drivers' Association director Mark Webber has called on the FIA to do more drug testing in Formula One, after six drivers were submitted for checks in Magny-Cours

Anthony Davidson, Rubens Barrichello, Robert Kubica, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Rosberg were all asked to provide urine samples following the first day of action at the French Grand Prix.
But Webber thinks the time has come for the FIA to do such tests more regularly - and he sees no reason why they cannot be done at every race.
"I think we should do a lot of it," said the Red Bull Racing driver. "If we rave on about how awesomely fit the drivers are, why don't we do proper tests like that in every other sport?
"The FIA says it's too expensive - but what a load of bullshit! How can it be too expensive in this game?
"If they can do it for a bloke jumping into a sandpit, how come they can't do it in F1? We should do more of it."
Although other drivers have questioned the benefit of such tests, because they believe racing drivers would not benefit from performance enhancing drugs, Webber thinks the time has come for more action to be taken.
"It is different to cycling, I understand that. But it's something that should be looked into.
"We leave no stone unturned in search for performance in every other area of the sport and dope testing is a part of the jigsaw that should be handled professionally in modern times - not with a 70s attitude."
