Villeneuve laughed at Ferrari finish
Jacques Villeneuve had a good laugh at old rival Michael Schumacher following the German's botched formation finish that handed victory to Rubens Barrichello in the United States Grand Prix
The Canadian admitted that the incident was embarrassing for Formula 1, but did not think that people should take it too seriously.
When asked by Autosport.com if it made the sport look ridiculous, Villeneuve said: "Yes, but that one was fun, so who cares?"
There has been no love lost between Villeneuve and Schumacher ever since their battle for the 1997 world title, which came out in Jacques' favour following a collision at the season finale.
With that in mind, it is no surprise that Villeneuve, who took a point with sixth on Sunday, should enjoy such a moment as the finish at Indianapolis.
"It's obvious that they wanted to finish close together, but I'm not sure that it was planned that Rubens would get in front," he said. "I think Rubens surprised him a little bit, which is fun! They keep playing these games, and now Michael got caught out, so it's fun."
