The British American Racing driver who scored his first points in 12 months at Melbourne two weeks ago says the fire to add to his 1997 title burns as fiercely as ever.
"One championship is not enough," he said.. "As long as you are racing all you want to do is win. The fire is still there. The day you are not hungry you should stop. I am still hungry."
Villeneuve ended a year-long points dought with fourth place in the opening race of the 2000 championship.
And teammate Ricardo Zonta gave the team double cause for celebration when he was promoted into the points in sixth after Mika Salo was excluded for an illegal front wing.
"It feels great to have got some points Australia," said the Canadian. "The whole weight of last year lifted off my shoulders."
Despite the result he says his car still needed to improve. "The car is definitely not quick enough. We have got some new things coming for Silverstone on both the engine and the aerodynamics."
