Video: When F1 conquered the Indy 500

The Indianapolis 500 is one of motorsport’s greatest events.

America’s biggest race has largely been won by homegrown talents, or at least competitors from the regular IndyCar series, but Formula 1 does have its place in Indy 500 history.

In particular, an F1 invasion in the 1960s changed American single-seater racing forever.
