Verstappen writes off 2001 season
Jos Verstappen has written off the remainder of the season and is already looking forward to next year's new Cosworth-powered Arrows
The Dutchman, who will race in this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix in front of thousands of Dutch fans who flock to Spa each year, claims Orange Arrows is better off concentrating on next year's car than putting extra effort into the final four races of this season.
Arrows has scored a single point in the 13 races to date and lies 10th in the World Championship with only minnows European Minardi behind them.
"I think all the circuits we will go to this season will still be very hard for us," said Verstappen, who scored Arrows' only point from a sixth placed finish in Austria. "We are missing out a lot at the moment and I think the team knows that. "
"Now, we are concentrating on next a lot on next year. Next year's car has already spent a lot of time in the wind tunnel. There really isn't much we can do for this year," he added.
