Verstappen impressed by new Minardi

Jos Verstappen is impressed with the new Minardi PS03 chassis, which he drove for the first time yesterday (Wednesday) at Ferrari's Fiorano test track

The Dutchman was highly enthusiastic about the Cosworth engine that will power the car, which he said was the best motor he'd driven since he entered Formula 1.

"Once we dealt with one or two little software glitches, the car ran reliably and quickly, and felt really good. I was pleased with the power and response of the Cosworth CR-3 - it's definitely the best F1 engine I've experienced."

Verstappen also gave his opinion on the Head and Neck Support (HANS) system that will be made compulsory in F1 this year, saying that he had no problems in using the device. He said: "I was comfortable in the car, and once we made a couple of adjustments to the HANS device, I was fine with that as well.

"All told, it has been very positive, and I'm looking forward to testing the car again before we leave for Australia."
