Verstappen fastest in Barcelona test
New Arrows signing Jos Verstappen went quickest in Formula 1 testing in Barcelona on Tuesday.
The Dutchman was driving the team's new A21 challenger.
He put in a time of 1.21.90 after completing 36 laps of the circuit.
Meanwhile, Alexander Wurz was second fastest overall [1.22.27], lapping the track 67 times in Benetton's B200 racecar.
Jordan tested its two EJ10s at the circuit on Wednesday.
Jarno Trulli was third quickest with a 1.22.78, after completing his first 22 laps in the 2000 car.
He went off during the day, and suffered with an electrical problem. Both incidents called for the session to be red flagged.
German Heinz-Harald Frentzen also tested, although he did not post an official time during the day.
Both Arrows and Benetton only have one racecar in Barcelona, so Verstappen will hand the car over to Spanish team-mate Pedro de la Rosa on Wednesday.
Giancarlo Fisichella will also get behind the wheel of the B200 on the second day of testing in Spain.
The McLaren team, which launched its 2000 racecar in Jerez last week, arrived in Barcelona during the day.
It is scheduled to test from Thursday through to Sunday.
Prost and Jaguar are also expected to test their new racecars on the same days.
Meanwhile, Sauber plans to put in an appearance at the track on Friday.
