Valencia, day 2: Heidfeld on top
Sauber and BAR completed Day Two of a four day testing programme in Spain today (Wednesday), with Nick Heidfeld posting the quickest time for the Swiss team at the tight Valencia track.
Sauber's race engineer, Remi Decorzent, said: "We dedicated the test day to the selection of the front wing for the next race and also did some set-up for Monaco. We also worked with Bridgestone on tyre choice for Montreal. Nick covered many laps and so we were able to gather a lot of data which we need to confirm tomorrow."
BAR's Jenson Button went second fastest, after a long day incorporating 130 laps, and finished 0.2s quicker than team-mate Jacques Villeneuve.
Austrian GP winner Michael Schumacher got back behind the wheel of his Ferrari F2003-GA at the Fiorano test track in Italy. He completed a total of 44 laps, setting a best time of 57.806s while working through set-ups for Monaco.
