Trulli Slams Sato after Crash

Jarno Trulli has said he doubts Takuma Sato will learn from his mistakes after being thrown out of the results of the Japanese Grand Prix for another controversial collision

Sato collided with Trulli at the chicane early in the race, punting the Toyota into a spin and out of the event. The race stewards later blamed Sato for causing an avoidable accident and disqualified him from the results.

But despite the punishment, a disappointed Trulli fears that Sato will carry on with his aggressive attitude unchanged.

"I have nothing against Takuma," said Trulli. "He is a nice guy and likeable, but when he is in the cockpit he is a different character.

"He does not think. He never uses his intelligence. He never listens. So he will make the same mistakes again."

Trulli went down to speak to Sato after the race to explain his feelings, but feels that ultimately the Japanese will not take the complaints onboard.

"I had a long chat with him, but he never understands," added Trulli. "When I saw him in the mirror I knew I was doomed because I knew he would do it. And he did!

"It is not only me who thinks this. There are lots of drivers who agree with me. He is just not clever."
