Trulli raring to go

Jarno Trulli believes that he can finally prove his worth in Formula One thanks to his move to the Jordan team

The Italian's first race with his new squad is now only a week away and he is desperate to get started.

'I really believe in this team,' he enthused. 'I trust all the mechanics and engineers. I know the team will give me a great chance this year to do well and achieve results I didn't have the chance to achieve in the past.

'We have seen that our car looks competitive and that it is better than the 1999 car. We did have some little problems in terms of reliability but we have solved them and are confident that everything is going to be okay for the Australian Grand Prix.'

Trulli has been on the pace of his new team mate Heinz-Harald Frentzen in winter testing but has suffered more from poor reliability.

This will be the Italian's fourth season of F1 racing. In three years with the Minardi and Prost teams he was only able to secure one podium finish, second in last season's European Grand Prix.
