Trulli 'hopes Jenson learns from accident'

Jarno Trulli said he hoped Jenson Button will learn from the accident that put the Jordan driver out of the Belgian Grand Prix. The duo was scrapping over third place on the exit to the La Source hairpin after Michael Schumacher had passed them both to claim second.

"I am disappointed because we could have had a good result today," said Trulli. "And I know I could blame Jenson but it was a mistake any young driver could make. It destroyed my race and he was lucky it did not destroy his."

Trulli was attempting to reclaim second from Michael Schumacher, who had passed him into La Source, but run wide on the exit - exactly the same situation Button had found himself in a lap earlier.

"The same was going to happen with Schumacher but as I straightened up Button hit me from behind," said Trulli, who has suffered a string of misfortunes this season.

"Hopefully he will understand what he did wrong and never do it again. These things happen, but unfortunately it happened to me. Once I spun the car stalled and my race was over. I was struggling under braking compared to the rest and I wouldn't have been able to challenge Mika but I could have been good for a podium place or points," he lamented.
