"It was unbelievable. It feels mega! You can't help but get excited about it, but you can't be too much, otherwise you just get too nervous and there's too much unnecessary pressure. I would have been up all night last night otherwise! I tried to look at it as just another test and approach it by looking at the car and what the car's doing, how it's handling, how we can improve it."



"I'm starting to get used to it, I'm actually starting to get used to the brakes. I'm almost there. The slow speed stuff seems to be good and we tried a few changes to see what it did to the car. I think the team was looking to check out my feedback and we actually worked on getting a set-up for the car."

"Yeah, thank God I was doing something is all I can say, because I was doing an F3 test which kept me busy and occupied, so I didn't really have a chance to think about it."



"It is just unbelievable, especially the high speed stuff, but at the end of the day it is just another racing car and you get understeer and oversteer. Physically you get used to it quite quickly and the slow speed corners and the braking isn't too bad; it's the high speed stuff that you lose time on."



"I think I've proved this point a couple of times now, with my Hockenheim result and also the fact that I'm second in the F3 championship. I beat Antonio (Pizzonia) at Zandvoort (Marlboro Masters), I got on the podium there. I don't think I've lost my focus at all. If anything it's made me focus more because of the comments I got from people saying that I was giving up, and I really don't give up on things at all."



"Oh it's not that bad. He stays out the way a little bit, I speak to him more about things afterwards. He doesn't tend to interfere at the time. Overall he's a great help."



"I have to prove I'm quick and then obviously it's up to them. They've got options on me if they want to make me a race driver next year, or test driver. But really it's up to them what they do with me. I'd obviously love to have a race contract for next year, but I need to prove to them and that's what this testing is about."
