Stoddart: Ron can mind his own business

Minardi team boss Paul Stoddart has responded to recent criticism from Ron Dennis, by pointing out that the McLaren chief should stop whining

Stoddart whose cash-strapped squad, according to Dennis, doesn't deserve to receive as much money as Jordan should Formula 1 create a "fighting fund", spoke out on the eve of his native Australian Grand Prix.

"Basically I didn't get into this business to fight political battles but it seems that is what is taking up all my time," Stoddart told Reuters.

"Ron in particular has made a very vicious attack on me in the last 10 days. They (BMW WilliamsF1 team principal Frank Williams and Dennis) are more or less indicating they feel that there is no room for teams like Minardi in Formula 1.

"They would do well to remember their own roots. Both of them have had failures in the past. With the budgets they have, they should not be talking about Minardi but rather concentrating on winning the world championship, something I would do if I had their budgets."
