Schumacher Confident for Indy
World Champion Michael Schumacher sees no reason why Ferrari cannot repeat their double podium finish from the Canadian Grand Prix in Indianapolis this weekend
The German made the most of mistakes from several of his rivals and a late race Safety Car period to grab the runner-up spot in Montreal behind Kimi Raikkonen, with teammate Rubens Barrichello storming through from the back of the grid to grab third.
And with Ferrari having enjoyed decent success at Indianapolis, Schumacher is confident that recent developments on the F2005 can move the team closer their target of a return to the winner's circle.
"Finishing second and third at the weekend prior to the race at Indianapolis - there's worse ways of going into the US Grand Prix," he said on Tuesday. "So now we're all travelling to Indianapolis, which sees our next task waiting for us.
"Our chances for the race itself are similar to those at Montreal. We may not be strong in all stages of the weekend, but we're a force to reckoned with and are able to go for it at any given time.
"The important thing is to make the best possible use of our chances and to fight right up until the end - and we surely will do just that again this time. We're ready for Indianapolis and I'm looking forward to it."
