Sauber frustrated by Wednesday test
F1 team Sauber admitted it was 'dissatisfied' with testing in Barcelona on Wednesday
The Swiss outfit, which was unable to run at the Circuit de Catalunya until late in the afternoon on Tuesday after a heavy snowfall, was again hampered by the weather the next day.
Heavy rain teams putting in faster lap times in the morning. Most went out after the track dried in the afternoon.
Sauber was working with its new racecar, the C19, with drivers Pedro Diniz and Mika Salo.
However, an leak on Salo's car led to oil being sprayed over the exhaust system.
This delayed the Finn's programme in the afternoon.
"We are not very satisfied with the number of laps today," said Willy Rampf, head of Vehicle Engineering at the outfit.
"But we are looking forward to tomorrow and hope to face better weather conditions."
Despite the team's problems, Diniz and Salo posted the third and fourth quickest times of the day.
Diniz completed 32 laps, putting in the third fastest time of 1.23.21, behind the McLarens of Mika Hakkinen and Olivier Panis.
Salo was fourth with a time of 1.23.93, after notching up 19 laps of the Spanish circuit.
Sauber plans to launch the C19 on February 2.
