Sato: I never give up!

There are just two races left of the 2002 season, but Jordan's Takuma Sato has not given up hope of scoring his first Formula 1 world championship point

So far this season, the Japanese driver's best result has been eighth place in the German Grand Prix, but he's optimistic that he can break into the top six at Indianapolis this weekend.

"With only two races to go, I am pushing as hard as ever for points - I never give up!" he said. "The US Grand Prix will be a great experience for me. The track looks very fast and wide at the banked last corner with some interesting turns infield. I just hope we get the car suited to the track conditions and enjoy a good race."

Team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella has scored all of Jordan's seven points this season, and with the team just one point behind Jaguar in the constructors' standings, the Italian is hoping to add to his tally on Sunday.

"Indianapolis is a good circuit and quite different from our usual race locations," he said. "I am happy and very proud to race in such a historical place because Indianapolis is one of the most important race venues in the world together with Le Mans, Monza and Monte Carlo. I'm looking forward to racing here again and, hopefully, to score some points."
