Round-up: Jordan's first EJ12 arrives
The first monocoque for Jordan's new EJ12 arrived at its Silverstone factory on Tuesday and is currently being fitted with a mock-up Honda V10 engine
Jordan has yet to announce a launch date for its new challenger, but it is understood to be occurring sometime at the end of January or early February. The team has confirmed that office products firm Brother International Europe has continued its sponsorship deal for 2002.
Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Luca Badoer will meet with Ferrari's management, including Jean Todt, Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne, to discuss the developments for the 2002 car at Maranello this weekend.
Mercedes-Benz's new engines for McLaren in 2002 are currently being simultaneously dyno tested in both Ilmor Engineering in Brixworth, England, and at Merc's factory in Stuttgart, Germany.
Nick Heidfeld has had his first seat fitting in Sauber's 2002 chassis at its Hinwil base in Switzerland. The teams plans to complete the mandatory static load crash tests on the chassis this month.
Arrows expects to receive its first Cosworth V10 engines for 2002 next month, in preparation for the new car's launch at the end of January.
Toyota has signed a sponsorship agreement with Wella Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of hair cosmetics and fragrances. Its F1 car will display Wella's corporate logo on the nose and rear wing endplates.
