Renault gear up for grabs

A Renault rear wing, overalls worn by Fernando Alonso and an original engine cover are all up for grabs in Renault's third charity auction to help raise money for Oxfam

The team will be putting a host of items on sale, including signed Alonso racewear, car parts and a chance to visit the team's factory, during the fund raising auction which lasts until October 25.

After raising more than £16,000 last year, the team is hoping a similar amount can be given to Oxfam this year to help provide water for poor communities in North Eastern Brazil.

Alonso himself said: "It's a good opportunity to be able to help Oxfam with this project. We race in Brazil every year and therefore felt it would make sense to be involved in this project. It is great that items that save our lives during a grand prix can then contribute to improving the lives of others."

The action is being hosted on ebay and can be accessed via Renault's official web-site, www.renaultf1.com or via www.oxfam.org.uk/f1.
