The first Red Bull Formula 1 car will race in the livery seen in its initial tests at Jerez this week - with no additional sponsorship branding alongside the logos of its owning company

Team boss Christian Horner says that the lack of secondary sponsors does not mean that RBR will be short of budget in 2005, as team owner Dietrich Mateschitz is making sufficient finance available through the Red Bull drinks brand.

"Obviously Red Bull's commitment to this project is substantial," Horner told Autosport. "We have a sensible budget to do the job, and we have what we need for this year.

"Mateschitz likes the livery of the car as it is, and that's unlikely to change."

The RB1 colour scheme features less silver and a noticeably darker blue than that seen on the interim car used earlier in the winter. The only logos present aside from Red Bull's are small decals from tyre supplier Michelin, and Rauch - a company associated with Red Bull.

Horner said that the team was open to working with additional sponsors in the future, provided the companies involved fitted with Red Bull's commercial image.

"The longer-term objective is to invite like-minded commercial partners into the programme," he said. "It's massively important that we bring in the right partners, brands that are aligned with Red Bull's philosophy.

"Red Bull is all about youth, excitement, passion and fun."

When Red Bull purchased Jaguar in November 2004 it was suggested that the budget available to the new team would be comparable to the level of funding Jaguar had received in its final years - a relatively modest amount by F1 standards but enough to be competitive.
