Ralf Fastest as Weather Improves - Morning Session

German Ralf Schumacher topped the timesheets in the morning session of the final day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, where the weather finally allowed the drivers present to concentrate on their work after two days of heavy rain.

Only four drivers were on track today after most of the teams finished this week's testing programme on Thursday. German Schumacher posted the quickest lap this morning as the Williams team continued to work on the development of their new BMW-powered FW25.

The Williams driver was nearly a whole second faster than Briton Ralph Firman who, after hardly working yesterday, today was able to put more miles on the new Jordan EJ13. Firman, who will make his Grand Prix debut in Australian next month, has been testing at Barcelona since Monday.

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya was the busiest man this morning with the second Williams FW25, while Jaguar's Antonio Pizzonia was the only man on track for the Milton Keynes outfit, finishing at the bottom of the times.

Testing will continue in the afternoon.

Today's times:
