Rain Hinders Paul Ricard Test

McLaren and Jordan were the only teams at the completion of the Paul Ricard test today, on a day where mixed weather conditions dictated their programme

The teams were forced to move from the main track configuration to the shorter version of the circuit after it began raining early in the morning. Pedro de la Rosa was quicker than teammate Alexander Wurz, who was focussing on tyre testing for the San Marino Grand Prix.

"Today has been a productive day, despite the weather and I have completed 104 laps of trouble free running," said de la Rosa. "The car has performed well in the changeable conditions."

Wurz added: "This week I have put a significant number of kms on MP4-20, and have become much more familiar with the car. I am pleased with the progress we have made and would like to thank the test team for their efforts."
