Raikkonen to set up F3 team
Kimi Raikkonen is behind plans to create a Formula 3 team that could compete in the British championship next year, Autosport magazine exclusively reveals this week. He is linking up with his manager Steve Robertson to create the outfit that will be based near his McLaren team's factory in Woking

Raikkonen Robertson Racing has not yet decided whether to race in the British or F3 Euroseries championships but plans for the team are already at an advanced stage. The team will be run by Carlin Motorsport engineer Anthony 'Boyo' Hieatt.
Speaking to Autosport, Robertson said: "Kimi is a lover of racing, full stop. He's always wanted to have his own team and has talked about setting up something for karting in the past. Of course he will be very busy but he hopes to get to one or two rounds."
The team has yet to make a final decision about which engines it will use - and that will not be made until it has made a commitment to one series.
If it races in the Euroseries then it will almost definitely use Mercedes-Benz power-units, but if it competes in Britain it will probably use the popular Mugen-Honda engine. There are also suggestions, however, that it could opt for a TOM's Toyota deal.
No drivers have yet been signed up, but one possibility is Marko Asmer, who raced in British F3 this year.
