Raikkonen Hints at Stronger Race Pace

Kimi Raikkonen has hinted that he believes McLaren's advantage in the race may be bigger than it was in qualifying

Juan Pablo Montoya and Raikkonen secured the first all-McLaren front row of the season, but Jarno Trulli's Toyota was less than two tenths of a second adrift.

However, Raikkonen believes that the gaps shown in qualifying may be less than are witnessed in the race tomorrow.

"Let's wait and see what happens in the race," he said. "It could turn out to be not as close as it looks."

Raikkonen admits that the qualifying result, even with Montoya ahead of him on the grid, could not have been better.

"Yeah, it is good for the team," he added. "It was a bit difficult this weekend to find the perfect set-up but it was better than in the morning.

"The car in the morning, I went off on new tyres and I didn't want to do it again, so it was okay. Second place is a good place to start and we will try to work from there."
