Podcast: Roebuck on Lauda's final title in F1's closest ever fight

Three-time champion Lauda's death on Monday prompted tributes from throughout the motorsport community, with his defeat of Alain Prost in 1984 - which remains the closest world championship fight in history - a feature of a number of testimonials.

In this podcast from 2017, Edd Straw is joined by Nigel Roebuck - who covered the 1984 season for Autosport - to look back at a remarkable title fight between two remarkable drivers that was decided by just half a point.

Lauda and Prost won 12 of that year's 16 races between them, and the dominance of the John Barnard-designed McLaren MP4/2 is one of a number of other topics touched upon.
