Montoya Critical of Trulli

Juan Pablo Montoya's chances of a podium finish on his return to Formula One at the Spanish Grand Prix may have been dashed by a fuel rig problem, but he was left more angry by the driving tactics of Jarno Trulli

The Colombian had made a better getaway than his Toyota rival off the start but, as he tried to overtake on the left, Trulli edged him off the track, forcing Montoya to either back off or risk having a start-line accident.

Speaking to ITV after the race, Montoya admitted he was annoyed at Trulli's actions.

"It's very disappointing," he said. "I had a great start and I thought it was very unfair what Jarno did just putting me straight on the grass. It's pretty sad to see that.

"You know, you can stay there and make a massive shunt taking half the grid off. But I thought the sensible thing was to try to move over, and he just kept pushing me into the grass until he managed it.

"So I was a bit pissed off about that."

Montoya recovered from the early run-in with Trulli, and a spin, to get into contention for a podium finish before a fuel rig failure meant he had to make an extra stop.

"It was pretty sad, you know, coming into the pits and there is no fuel."
