Mixed Feelings from Renault Drivers

Italian Jarno Trulli claimed he had extracted the best for his Renault to post the 14th quickest time in today's qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit.
On a circuit where the French squad did not expect to shine, the Pescaran driver was the quickest of the Renault duo, outqualifying teammate Jenson Button. Trulli was satisfied with his performance but claimed his team must raise there game in order to fight for the top positions.
"That was a good session for me," said Trulli. "We improved the car throughout qualifying and the slipstream from Jenson just added a little more on the last lap. The tow definitely helped me but the flip side was that I was then too close going into the Parabolica, which cost me a couple of tenths.
"Overall, I don't think we could have done better today. We now need to improve the package in order to be competitive."
Button, meanwhile, was disappointed with his qualifying spot after struggling with the balance of his car during most of the session.
"There's really not much to say - even if we knew the circuit wouldn't suit us, I was looking for more than seventeenth," said Button. "We didn't manage to find the compromise that we need here in order to be quick.
"Of course, it's never easy when you're trying to make up for lost time, but it is still hard to be satisfied with seventeenth."
