McLaren have no intention to make any driver announcements this weekend and are in no hurry to reveal their line-up for the 2004 season.
"Not at all. I don't have any intentions," said team boss Ron Dennis when asked if there would be any driver announcement this weekend. "We now have, I think, six or seven drivers under contract - different types, different categories - we tend to look inwardly at those drivers for both our racing and testing requirements.
"We are certainly not looking outside those drivers for any of those parameters at the moment. So it's far too early."
Reports in the German press had claimed McLaren were ready to announce that Scot David Coulthard would continue to drive for them in 2004, after his current contract expires at the end of the year.
31-year old Coulthard has been with the Woking-based team since the start of the 1996 season.
Coulthard is currently 26 points behind teammate Kimi Raikkonen, who today clinched his first career pole position. Coulthard was ninth.
