Kiesa to Complete 300km Run at Fiorano on Friday

The Minardi team have changed their testing plans for this week and new driver Nicolas Kiesa will complete the required 300km run to get his Formula One Super-License tomorrow.

The Minardi team have changed their testing plans for this week and new driver Nicolas Kiesa will complete the required 300km run to get his Formula One Super-License tomorrow.

The Anglo-Italian squad said on Wednesday they would run only 50 kilometres of testing on Friday and the remaining 250 in the Friday morning testing session for the German Grand Prix next week.

However, the team's spokesman Graham Jones told Atlas F1 today that they have changed their plans and Kiesa will complete the required mileage tomorrow at Ferrari's Fiorano test track after the Formula One Commission gave them the green light for the test.

Jones said Minardi did not get any opposition from their rival teams despite an agreed testing ban coming into force between last weekend's British Grand Prix and the race in Hungary at the end of August.

Dane Kiesa was signed by Minardi to replace Briton Justin Wilson, who will be driving for Jaguar for the rest of the season after taking Antonio Pizzonia's seat.
