Jordan Happy with Double Finish
The Jordan team were pleased after both their drivers made it to the end of the Japanese Grand Prix, albeit outside of the points
Portuguese Tiago Monteiro, who suffered his first retirement of the season in Brazil two weeks ago, completed yet another race after a trouble-free event.
The rookie went on to finish in 14th position, two places in front of teammate Narain Karthikeyan.
The Indian driver was hindered by a car imbalance which forced his team to change one of his tyres.
"We brought both cars to the finish again which is good," said sporting director Adrian Burgess. "Narain had an imbalance with the car, which damaged his front tyres, and eventually he locked up once too often and flat spotted one.
"We decided to change it for precautionary reasons, as it could have become too dangerous for him to carry on.
"Tiago had a good race again from the back and finished 14th. Now we are heading to the final race in China next week and try to finish with a good result."
