"It was exciting. It was a bit tricky to get the right line or the right place. I was on the inside, but then I lost a position to Fernando, and then I got him back. By the end of the lap I didn't lose any positions."



"Apparently we had a problem with the fuel pump. It's a shame, because we were running with both cars in the points, and we were actually very strong. I lost my position to Fernando because of Villeneuve. I think he had trouble in his pit stop and he came out right in front of me and held me up for one and a half laps, which was enough for Fernando to get out of his pit stop ahead of me. Then I was basically quicker than him. It's a shame because I think I did a very strong weekend in a difficult situation, but again I didn't get any points."



"Let's say that many times this year I couldn't race, I really didn't have a chance to race. Only a few times, like in Australia and Malaysia, I had a chance. Every other time I was really having problems or whatever. In the Nurburgring I had a chance to show my performance. Unfortunately I didn't finish, but at least I proved I'm quick, I'm there, I can race and be strong. So on one side I'm disappointed because I didn't get any points, on the other I'm satisfied about myself and the engineers and the car because we've done a very good job."



"It looks like I'm not having much luck in the pit stops! I'm not making any mistakes, because my lap time coming in and going out is OK, it's just the fact that very often there's traffic. In these cases half a second is important, and you lose it so quickly, and this is the result. It's part of the race. They couldn't calculate that Villeneuve would have a problem in his pit stop, and it happened in my case."



"I don't want to think about these things. I just want to look ahead. I know that I've got a good team and a good car, and things will turn around. I've just got to carry on performing well, and be always fast."



"We hope so. We think that Michelin are going to be strong, that is our hope. And we feel the car could be very strong. So I'm definitely confident. I know the circuit very well and I hope that I can make a good race."
