Honda Optimistic for Hungary

Honda believe that recent developments to their under-performing engines will lead to success for Jordan and British American Racing in next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Honda believe that recent developments to their under-performing engines will lead to success for Jordan and British American Racing in next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Japanese manufacturer introduced a significant step development at the French Grand Prix last month but is yet to see it bring in more points and is already planning another improvement for the Belgian Grand Prix.

But the manufacturer's race and test team manager, Shuhei Nakamoto said: "We have taken a step forward in recent races but have not managed to turn our increased performance into points-scoring results.

"We are optimistic for the weekend in Hungary and we hope to capitalise on our developments and help our partner teams finish in the points."

British American Racing drivers Olivier Panis and Jacques Villeneuve, and Jordan's Giancarlo Fisichella have all been relaxing with families and friends during the summer break. But Jordan's Takuma Sato, who is yet to score a point in his debut season, travelled to Switzerland to go cycling.
