Grosjean hits out at Hamilton's driving in Austrian GP F1 practice

The duo were involved in an incident in morning practice, with Hamilton spinning out of Turn 3, and as his Mercedes reversed back on track, Grosjean was forced to take avoiding action, resulting in a spin of his own.

Grosjean also felt there was another instance of Hamilton driving badly in practice two.

"I wasn't very happy with Lewis' behaviour on track today," said Grosjean.

"He spun, he didn't put the brakes on, he reversed in the middle of the track, and I was coming, so to avoid I had to spin the car.

"Then in FP2 he was doing a quali run and he was going straight at Turn 2, coming back and staying in the middle of the track.

"I had a lot of Lewis around me today - if it's the case again on Sunday then it means I'm well positioned!"

Asked whether he planned to speak to Hamilton during the drivers' briefing about the incidents, Grosjean replied: "If I get the chance, then yeah.

"We could have had quite a big crash this morning. It's not something you want on your first run in FP1."

Team-mate Esteban Gutierrez also had his own close shave with Hamilton as an electrical fault on his car in second practice left him running slowly at one point, with the Briton braking heavily to avoid an accident.

"I had the problem, I had no power at all, so I went on the outside line so he could go on the inside," said Gutierrez.

"Apparently he missed the corner and front-locked completely.

"Then I saw him at the back and I thought 'Woah! He's going to crash into me'.

"It was quite close because he braked a bit too late."

Gutierrez completed the fewest number of laps on F1's shortest track in terms of laptime - 20 in FP1 and 16 in FP2 - due to the electrical fault.

Team principal Gunther Steiner thought Haas had fixed it in the morning, only for it to return in the afternoon, leaving the mechanics now needing to "change quite a lot of electronics stuff this evening".

A frustrated Gutierrez, who has experienced numerous technical issues this year, said: "Yeah, it's a bit annoying.

"I don't know what to say, it's not in my hands, it's not my responsibility, but as a team we are trying our best, and I'm confident they will fix it.

"I'm not the expert, I don't know the details, but it's something the team is on top of."
