Grapevine: Expedia to Offer F1 Travel Deals

Expedia, the largest online travel service, will adapt its travel technology specifically for the Formula One calendar, with users offered race tickets, flights, hotels and car hire at competitive prices.

Formula1.com will further enhance the new collaboration with a guide for each destination that will include comprehensive information about each Grand Prix venue.

"The number of people using formula1.com has risen hugely," Bernie Ecclestone commented. "Research with these users has shown us that this is the service that they want.

"I'm pleased we have reached an agreement with Expedia and that we'll be able to provide our Formula One fans with such a useful service."

David Roche, Vice President of Expedia Private Label, added: "We're thrilled to be partnering with Formula One, which is a great example of a company diversifying its product portfolio and offering a wider experience including travel services to its customers.

"Expedia's dynamic packaging technology will enable Formula One consumers to select their ideal race, choose how they get there, where they stay and what they do, providing convenience and savings."

The new service is scheduled to launch in the next couple of months.
