German Heinz-Harald Frentzen is hoping for a wet British Grand Prix tomorrow after qualifying in 14th position today.
Frentzen, who has not scored a point for his Sauber team since the Brazilian Grand Prix back in April, said he was happy with his car, but admitted he hopes for rain in tomorrow's race in order to have a chance to return to the point-scoring positions.
"I think I had a good lap although I must admit that I made a mistake braking into Abbey, which is why I didn't hit the apex there," admitted Frentzen. "I already had a good warm-up and could improve my lap time thanks to a well balanced car. Today we had sunny weather, but I must confess that I'm hoping and counting on rain for tomorrow."
Nick Heidfeld was not as pleased as his teammate after posting the 16th quickest time of the day.
"I'm not quite happy with my lap," said Heidfeld. "It was my most difficult qualifying of the year! I didn't get the balance of the car right and was struggling a lot. It was also very windy on the track which put things topsy-turvy. But we will see how it goes tomorrow."
