Free practice 4: Raikkonen fastest

McLaren stayed on top of the times in the second 45-minute session of free practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix, but it was Kimi Raikkonen who headed the session with a lap in 1m36.557s

McLaren-Mercedes team mate David Coulthard remained second fastest with his time from the first session, while Fernando Alonso found some more time in the Renault and ended up third quickest. Coulthard had minor excursion at Turn 6 and then Turn 7, but without damaging his MP4-17D.

Michael Schumacher was still clearly concentrating on his race set-up, as witnessed by a fourth quickest time fully two second slower than he managed in Friday's opening qualifying session.

Cristiano da Matta continued to impress for Toyota with fifth fastest time overall, while team mate Olivier Panis languished down in 12th place on from the first session after being stranded with what looked like a blown engine.

Jarno Trulli also failed to improve on his morning time, while the first Williams-BMW was seventh fastest in the hands of Juan Pablo Montoya. Jenson Button's BAR-Honda was next up, ahead of Rubens Barrichello's Ferrari. Ralf Schumacher in the second Williams completed the top 10.
