Fisichella Blames Launch Control for Missing Points

Italian Giancarlo Fisichella blamed the launch control system of his Jordan for missing out on a possible point-scoring position at today's Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit.
The Roman driver, starting from 11th position of the grid, was slow at the start due to a problem with their system, losing several positions. Fisichella recovered well during the race but was unable to reach the top six and had to settle for eighth spot.
"Unfortunately our launch control system is problematic and today I lost four or five positions at the start alone which is not good at all," said Fisichella. "I was having a decent race and pushing hard, which wasn't easy because I was so full with fuel.
"The car balance wasn't too bad and there was a real possibility for me to finish 4th or 5th but we lost our race and chance to score points just because of launch control."
Fisichella's teammate Takuma Sato finished the race in 12th position, claiming his Honda-powered car was very hard to drive during most of the race.
