Firman: I'll be fit for Italian GP
Ralph Firman has insisted that he will be fit in time for the Italian Grand Prix on September 14, despite being forced to miss this week's pre-Monza test because of the injuries he sustained in his Hungarian Grand Prix accident, according to this week's AUTOSPORT magazine
The Briton made the decision not to take part in the test because he wants to ensure he is fully fir for the next round of the world championship, but has said that he will definitely be racing at Monza.
"I'm taking a few more days to completely recover," Firman told AUTOSPORT. "There is no doubt I'll be ready for the Italian GP, but I have to make sure I'm 100 percent fit. It's disappointing to miss the test, but it's for the best. It was a massive shunt.
"Now I'll just spend my time training. I can't wait to get back in the car. Three weeks is a long time to be out."
