FIA president Jean Todt has ruled out a ban on the advertising of alcohol in Formula 1, claiming it to be "not possible"

The European Alcohol Policy Alliance, known as Eurocare, last week launched a fresh call for the FIA and Todt to move away from alcohol sponsorship.
Eurocare, a group of non-governmental public health and social organisations working on the prevention and reduction of alcohol-related harm in Europe, targeted the Monaco Grand Prix, in particular highlighting the 2014 event.
With three teams in F1 carrying alcohol branding - Williams (Martini), Force India (Smirnoff and Kingfisher), and McLaren (Johnnie Walker) - Eurocare highlighted the fact an advert flashed up every five seconds during coverage.
Todt, however, has again made clear while the FIA can only do so much via its 'Action for Road Safety' campaign, it is out of his organisation's hands to ban alcohol sponsorship.
Speaking at the International Transport Forum in Leipzig, Germany, Todt said: "The use of advertising for alcohol is not linked to the FIA. It's linked to each singular country.
"I'm completely against, and advocating against, drinking and driving, but each country needs to make his own job.
"You cannot ban alcohol, it is not possible, but you can educate people not to drink and drive.
"So we are working very closely on that because we know it is an essential topic to be addressed."
