Ferrari fined for Barrichello pitlane stop
Ferrari has been fined $10,000 at the Canadian Grand Prix for a pitlane incident involving Rubens Barrichello a couple of minutes before the end of qualifying in Montreal

Race stewards imposed the fine because mechanics were working on the Brazilian's car in the fast lane of the pits. The move could have prevented David Coulthard from starting his final flying lap as he attempted to displace Michael Schumacher from pole, but the Scot was quick to dodge the Ferrari and dive around him and onto the circuit.
Barrichello, who had been forced to get into the spare car after crashing earlier in the session, was hoping to get in a late flying lap and improve his grid position of fifth.
"This was not one of my better days," said Barrichello. "On my first run I had traffic, while on the second I finished up in the wall at the last chicane. The spare car was set-up for Michael.
"Despite the fact the mechanics did a great job, the set-up wasn't ideal for me and there was no time to change it. In the end I did not have time to change tyres before my fourth and final run and so I was unable to improve and get a better position. But it will be a very open race tomorrow."
