Eifel of rain at the 'Ring?
Those wanting to see the Formula 1 field evened-up with a few rain showers over the European Grand Prix weekend at the Nurburgring may, for once, be disappointed.

The weather conditions in the Eifel mountains to the west of Germany are notoriously fickle, and wet races on the 2.83 mile track, like the event last year, tend to offer some exciting moments. However, on race day this year, the weather looks set to be sunny with some cloudy spells - and much of the same is forecast for Saturday's qualifying.
Those teams wanting to test wet weather set-ups may be able do so during Friday practice, when showers are forecast for the morning. But predicting the weather for the Nurburgring, just like Spa not too far away in the same mountain range, is not an exact science and the key to success on Sunday could be 'expect the unexpected'.
Temperatures look set to hover around the 20 deg C mark, so in theory, tyres and engines won't be under as much stress as they were in a hot Montreal a fortnight ago.
Cloudy - slight chance of showers 16 deg C
Cloudy - sunny spells 19 deg C
Cloudy - sunny spells 20 deg C
