Ecclestone Moves to Solve Rules Row

Formula One bosses Max Mosley and Bernie Ecclestone will meet with team principals Ron Dennis and Frank Williams prior to this weekend's Australian Grand Prix in a bid to sort out their differences over changes made to the sport.

Formula One bosses Max Mosley and Bernie Ecclestone will meet with team principals Ron Dennis and Frank Williams prior to this weekend's Australian Grand Prix in a bid to sort out their differences over changes made to the sport.

Team owner Williams and McLaren chairman Dennis are taking Mosley to the international court of arbitration in Switzerland over the new regulations introduced this year. Mosley and the two team bosses have publicly exchanged letters, something Ecclestone criticised them for.

Now Ecclestone, who owns the commercial rights to the sport, has ordered the trio to showdown talks in Melbourne prior to the season-opening race in a bid to end the dispute.

"It has all got blown totally out of proportion with everyone negotiating through the media rather than face-to-face," Ecclestone told the Sunday Express newspaper. "We shouldn't have to air our dirty linen in public.

"I've got Frank, Ron and Max to agree to meet and they will hopefully come to some sort of agreement."
