Button will not switch to Champ Cars
Jenson Button has ruled out moving to America if he loses his seat at Williams
The 20-year-old is said to be on Chip Ganassi's wanted list if his current driver Juan Pablo Montoya moves to Formula One.
However, at the Canadian Grand Prix Button claimed his future is in Formula 1.
"It is too early in my career to think about going to the States," he said. "Maybe in the future but not now. I want to stay in Formula 1.
"I want to stay with Williams if I can, but I'll definitely be in Formula 1 anyway. "
Button, who had earlier refuted reports that Williams had signed Champ Car star Juan Pablo Montoya at his expense, claimed that the boss of BMW WilliamsF1 had not made his decision yet.
"I don't know what is happening next year. Frank [Williams] will tell me when he is ready. And I know Frank's decision, whatever it is, will be a good one," said Button.
Button, is thought to have a five year rolling deal with Williams who have already said they believe he has a future in Formula 1. They are willing farm him out to another team, if, as expected, they bring in Montoya next year.
Button has been linked with Jordan and Jaguar and this week Benetton if they do not tempt Jacques Villeneuve from BAR.
