Button ready for Brawn contract talks
World champion Jenson Button says he is now ready to discuss his future with Brawn, the Briton making it clear he wants to stay with the team
Button has delayed talks about his future until he had clinched the title, which he achieved after finishing in fifth place at the Brazilian Grand Prix last Sunday.
The Briton said his main preference is to have a strong car to defend his crown next year, but made it clear he wants to stay with his current team.
"I'm most interested in being in a competitive car in which I can achieve," Button told reporters during a media event in London on Monday.
"This is the first year that's been possible and I've enjoyed it.
"I'm not going to look for another team just because they say they'll pay me a load of money. I want to be with Brawn, we've not discussed a contract yet and it was right not to do so because we had to focus on winning a world championship.
"Now we can discuss it in a few days. I'm certainly going to put some pressure on them but I'm not that expensive."
