Jenson Button says his BAR team need more speed in order to fight for higher placings this season, although the Briton admitted he is pleased with the car's reliability.
Button scored a point in today's San Marino Grand Prix, although the BAR driver finished a lap behind race winner Michael Schumacher. It was the second time this season that Button has scored points following his seventh place at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
"It's good to get a point here but a little disappointing that we couldn't do better today," admitted Button. "I think we've been able to demonstrate improving reliability but we just need a little more speed.
"We have an aero and engine upgrade for the next race, which we're testing in Mugello next week, so we should see a small step forward for Barcelona in two weeks' time."
Canadian teammate Jacques Villeneuve failed to finish the race, after a fire at his first pit stop caused terminal damage to his car.
"When the leading three teams get all their cars to the finish, scoring a point is an achievement," said team principal David Richards.
